    Nothing mysterious..

Anyone with a full quote system, ie. brokers, have a 'what if' window on their screens. So they can enter an number they like in the what-if screen and it will tell them at what price they have to bid or offer in order to buy or sell the number they need.

Say you want to buy 10000 shares on the open. The system will show you what price you would have to bid in order to get them.

The figures change very rapidly as start time approaches. In other words, the indicated match price is almost useless, not quite, but almost.

I've read a lot of analysis about the FMG result and even its sworn enemies are having trouble criticising it.
