That is alright for her with both her daughters attending the selective (elitist) Sydney Girls High School, however give a thought to those whose only access to a decent education is to attend a boarding school where there is little difference in cost between the worst and the best.
About 30% of children attend private schools with many parents struggling to meet the costs and grandparents chipping in when they can.
If we were to have a single public education system, then there is also the risk of producing entire generations of young adults, all with the same propaganda sewn into their minds. It is bad enough as it is now.
Would be nice to see an education system in which teachers were given greater leeway to actually be inspiring to their students, rather than having to follow a curriculum letter for letter, as per the diktats of external committees et al.
