Quite possibly the finest piece of education they ever received.
Being taught critical thinking at school 35 years ago made me realise that some of my parents teachings/beliefs were complete bullsh*t. I am eternally grateful to the public system for teaching me to think for myself and not simply 'inherit' the ignorance of a previous generation.
Young people are often criticised for thinking they know better than their parents...... In my experience they generally do........and so they should, after all, isn't that the whole point of evolving?
