Gern...I once had the professor drop a petri dish of truly nasty nasty microbes onto the floor and onto my sneakers...lucky all of the bacteria is actually live attenuated...they dont actually tell you this to add a real world clinical reality to the practical ...and lucky I just happen to know this otherwise i might have considered myself already dead :)
I also liked my fluvial geomorphology and geo crystalline stricture classes and even remote sensing classes...it often took me 3 reads of all the subject matter to care...but once over that hurdle most subject devoid of hard mathematics became truly interesting.
Microbiology the most interesting actually...3rd year biology a close second.
