Apologies for the poorly-worded question. To have another go:
If JP are nearly out of paper gold what does that actually mean? Do they need to buy more physical gold to under-write their paper sales? Can they they just 'print more' paper gold and hope no-one calls their bluff and actually wants a physical gold settlement? Is the result likely to be an increased demand in physical gold or heavy shorting by JP to try and cover their shortfall? ANd where do you find info like the amount of paper trades vs actual gold holdings?
I'm really interested in the info you've kindly provided but don't have the knowledge to fully understand the impact sorry. Any info from HC readers would be much appreciated thanks!
