Doesn't matter really when A & B are married Unless a contract is drawn up and signed. Take it from someone with investment properties and had gone through a divorce. in court finances and who paid what makes little difference. The wife could state she does most of the house work therefore she contributes to running of the house and therefore is entitled to a larger portion, more if kids are involved.
Basically without a signed contract whats yours becomes hers and whats hers becomes yours.
