My thought was the R&D area. Those horrible little governments are always looking for a new type of land mine to impress then there's the latest warships for those with a maritime leaning.

There's engineering developments in satellite capability. NSA is always on the lookout for some snazzy way of peeking into your bathroom or toilet bowl.

Not to forget the supply side of the military. Military personnel have to eat, move about, sit, shoot etc and it seems that there's an everlasting desire by some governments to keep spending, modernizing, updating, a military, air force or navy to impress their peace loving neighbours.

And access to a good finance deal or the compilation of a mixed package will win plenty of business.

Yes intelligence and the war industry have a lot to offer the young man with an eye toward the future.

Some might think that such a career is about as low as one can get so I ask them: "would you prefer your child to work in the armourment industry or in merchant banking.

It seems that banking is about rock bottom.
