rab, the present board seems to have its mind made up, the decision appears to be partly political with a few of them fighting to keep their jobs probably to the detriment of us all.
As small shareholders we're only a nuisance and obviously this board over the past few years has taken little notice of us, if you take the trouble to phone them you may as well be talking to the proverbial brick wall.
Australian funds are notoriously slow to act in cases like this. I would guess the larger shareholders now control 25 to 30% of the shares in RDF so if they did talk tough to the board they should get some commonsense decisions but who knows if they have the will to do it.
Announce a closedown of Comms, the appointment of Bruce Higgins as RDF CEO (with full support by the board), and a board revamp to include new independent directors suitable for the job and I reckon you would see the shareprice jump 50c overnight.
