damn it all, but do not tell watso that rubbish - but it is true.
donkey years ago (about less than 1980), watso looked in the paper, and thought he would upgrade from an asbestos house to a brick house. the brick house was along the railway line, and watso had a look - the asking price was about $28,000. the real estate agent told watso that they had valued the property at $30,000 - and the naive watso thought that he was getting a bargain.. anyway, because of a change in circumstances, watso never lived in the property, but rented it out (each year was a loss - ie after allowing for rates etc, and the interest on the loan on the property) - but a few years later, when trying to sell the property, it was difficult to sell - and finally accepted an offer from a real estate person (his position had to be declared- by law) - and watso was only too happy to get rid of the house for $24,000
yep - watso had proof that property does not always go up
