since you are with Etrade I suggest that you have a good look at their Power Etrade and Etrade Pro; both are very comprehensive trading platforms and effectively free since you will be a daytader. ie a certain amount of trades will offset the fees. You can also link Pro to your excel spreadsheet live which allows you to manipulate data to your ideas.
Be careful of "TOOT TOOT" "the train is leaving" "ten baggers" and "put them in the bottom drawer"
