spoke to surgeon

Have been thinking of posting for a few days. I was lucky enough to witness an Aortic Valve Replacement last week as part of some training i am doing. As I was peering into the patients chest i thought i would ask the surgeon if they had heard of Cardiocel. Answer was no. This surgeon is a major guy in town, and does a lot of structural stuff ie repairing valves, defects etc
Yes, it is only one surgeon, but it gives you a bit of insight, as to what Admedus are trying to do with Cardiocel, in marketing it.
He was pretty quick to say that as a surgeon he is told of many products, and they all claim to be the latest and greatest product. And often sees a lot of hype around these products, and a lot of them don't amount to much.
I am sure approval in Europe and the States is a great thing, but sales is another thing.
I have been quite postive in the past about AHZ, but that experience in the operating theatre just gave me a reality check about Cardiocel
