We are on the same page, I think you just misunderstood my post somewhat

Re psychiatrists, I shouldnt have said they are useless - I should have said you will get the same benefit from talking to a good counsellor, or an intelligent and sensitive friend.

My point was more they are no good at "choosing the right antidepressant" for any particular individual.

As you said, there is no two people alike.

I was just sharing my story, although I didnt make that clear, and it probably came across as advice that would work for everyone.

But I am sure it would work for someone other than myself.

Obviously there are good psychiatrists, but old Freudian analysis is of limited benefit.

A few new breed psychiatrists are great - some are getting very holistic, incorporating past life therapy, thought field therapy, binaural beats, nutrition and so on.

For the best binaural beat therapy, this product was the first organised offering

Its literally priceless, and changed my life dramatically when I was in a very bad way around the age of 18-23.

And Dr Brian Weiss, documented in his book Many Lives Many Masters
