I am surprised the ASX isn't asking questions about Benitec's "response to ASX query" dated 21/02/2014.

The announcement out today indicates details of this raising were finalised on 21/02/2014, and presumably negotiated in the days before.

Apparently there was nothing they hadn't told the market. Nothing at all that could impact price. Hmm.

Some pumping & selective release to US investors would explain the price action. That said, perhaps the price is right for a now wider audience with interest in this stock (ie: if we are now closer to fair value, a dump doesn't necessarily follow the pump).

At least this leaky ship doesn't sink!
