not once did he go and talk to Cabin Crew down the back or visit the Flight Deck. Arrogant I think is the word and a poor leader!

I know of another CEO, of a bank, then CEO of a government-created position, then another bank, and now CEO of a very big public corporation. Leaving a trail of destruction behind him. He was well know for studiously avoiding all contact with his plebs. No wonder morale was the pits, and still is.
Its interesting in this context that the Chairman of (profitable) Rex insists that even the most lowly underling has direct access to him. A good idea, the chairman wants to hear it. A complaint or something wrong, same story.
