Many years ago I knew the malt whiskey tasting world champion. His wife was either runner up in that year or might have even been the previous year's winner.
At that stage we had a hotel in Adelaide which boasted the largest collection of malt whiskeys in the southern hemisphere. It was wonderful to see all those bottles lined up in alphabetical order. Maybe I knocked off a few letters of the alphabet but certainly did not manage to go through the whole alphabet.
This pub set up the world championship. I am not sure whether this was recognised anywhere else in the world but I thought at least it was wonderful Australian larrikism.
As for the market; my feeling is that U stocks will start to re-emerge.
