The SPC saga demonstrates the disgrace that is Abbott.. its the company, the workers and the Victorian State government that finally came good on SPC. Currently its a win for SPC in spite of the disgraceful actions of Abbott.
Abbott and Hockey were exposed as liars, allegedly by one of their own in Liberal Dr Sharman Stone. I also wonder whether they have blood on their hands given the reference by Dr Stone to suicide and potential suicide among the fruit growers. I hope not as otherwise at some point given recent precedent a Royal commission may have to be called by the Senate. Abbott put the whole of the Shepparton and Goulbourn Valley area through hell.
The SPC issue is a stain on Abbott with the callous manner in which he was willing to sacrifice orchardists and their families, as well as the SPC workers and others in the region. He made out that if SPC went under it was because of worker entitlements. Blatant lies.
For election pork barrelling Abbott didn't hesitate to hand out millions to Cadbury that definitely didn't need the money.
Just shows how low our current leaders go. They cant be trusted and are a disgrace.
