Abbott's conduct was so disgraceful that one of the coalitions most conscientious members exposed his actions.. It was reported that suicide was a factor and Abbott allowed extreme stress to the whole region involved. Obviously the State government that faces elections next year was more forthcoming and they helped broker a deal involving SPC, the state Government and the workers. Abbott instead did a Pontius Pilate and washed his hands of the issue all so he could falsely blame the SPC workers.
