Bitcoins can't be stolen as easily when placed in cold storage ie off line server or security keys printed in paper form.. Transaction costs are cheaper to as they are peer to peer, not requiring a third party aka visa or PayPal who charge businesses fees

Bitcoins can be traded like forex, but unlike waiting for the market to open in each country, bitcoins are 24/7. And not controlled by governments fiscal policies ie inflationary issues
