Good question ddzx. 2Peter ch 1 talks about how the grace(or undeserved kindness) of God enables us to escape the corruption of sin. However, verse 9 warns Christians not to become forgetful of the 'cleansing from his sins of long ago'. Likewise,1 Peter 2:16 urges us to be 'as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God'. Also Hebrews 10:26 warns us against sinning willfully, something Christs sacrifice wont cover.
