How come the US wants to punish Iraq for violating UN resolutions but not Israel, when Israel is violating more resolutions than Iraq???

I don't like how the US assists Israel (I think they give them approx US$3 billion yearly on military spending) when they want to hold back on other countries in the region from obtaining the very weapons that Israel have.
