But, to be honest, security at Australian airports is abysmal. Anyone and I mean anyone who wants to get airside can. As a passenger you go through all these security checks and I can tell you now, it's just window dressing. Just to make you feel safe.

But that's not the issue. Anyone can climb the perimeter fence and get to planes on the ramp. Secrete weapons for previously screened passengers and it's all over.

Air services employees are are paid bugger all so a quick bribe is on the cards.
