Kyoto is a crock. Used to be a believer but if you actually look at the "evidence" it is not so clear cut. Methane has now been shown to be released by vegetation during normal conditions. Interestingly, methane pound for pound is much stronger than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. All the models will now have to incorporate this new finding about plants into the general circulation models. Now if such a basic characteristic such as plant gas emissions has only been discovered, what else is also undiscovered or not accounted for in the models. How can you guide policy on something which is simply not adequately misunderstood. When a model can actually duplicate the known weather and climate data for tha last huundred or thousand years accurately then I will seriously take notice.
