    Longshott,

Thanks for the post. I may have come across as a green energy junkie and so perhaps I should clarify. In my view it’s the job of governments to tilt the balance in favor of renewable energy and they are doing a lousy job of it. In short, the market failure that requires government intervention is being compounded by a government failure, driven by a kick the can down the road mentality. I work within the incentive structure created by government as stupid as it is. I'm pro whatever is the most commercially viable energy solution. For example, I have previously posted regarding gas solutions and the potential for PLV and MGX to derive synergy benefits using a production hub approach.

I have owned/followed PLV since 2008 and I know second hand that PLV was aware of local tidal energy potential around that time or even earlier. They don’t need me to alert them to its potential. Its application within a seawall is different to what they would have previously looked at and my post was simply aimed to remind them of something that may have fallen off the agenda.

I'm pretty sure a key factor for any new mine is energy supply. I suspect a key problem in the mining industry is that they meet their energy needs by applying solutions used elsewhere and which they are familiar with. It's safe. Like you said, it's not their core business and thus they are less willing to optimise it. The CEO/Board sets the culture and if the CEO seeks/drives innovative solutions they will happen providing they are commercially viable. There are numerous companies with the required expertise to take on the role for PLV. Engaging with these companies during the seawall design stage seems to make sense to me, even if it's to conclude it's not an option or that minor design changes should be incorporated into the seawall design for a potential future use.

It's interesting you mentioned brand marketing. In my mind the PLV slogan should be "High Grade Ore – Shipped from the Mine Gate." I'd even be as cheeky to put a line thru the "High"and right above it on a slant and in script writing, replace it with "Pure".

(Pure hematite is 69.9%Fe. Our latest result was only 0.78% under that or effectively 99% pure)

A specialist in bugs - interesting. I trust you dont take your work home with you.

    Cheers
    Bleasby
