You are derailing this thread. We are talking about a particular incident.
However, re your rants about red lights, do you know several European cities allow cyclists to negotiate red lights because it is safer for them to do that than wait with the traffic for the lights to turn green?
I have never seen cyclists "run" red lights, unlike cars.
And if I'm in a car, wheelchair, moped or pushie, I'll "run" a red if it's 3am and no one's on the road. Quite frankly, the bloody things should be turned off when traffic's quiet and they're not needed.
Now back on topic- somebody got hurt by somebody doing something wrong. Everybody seems to have a hard time processing the fact....
