We are not at $3.50, yet.

We have both debated this issue in earnest, but in the end, we will each make up our own minds on where Telstra is heading, now, or tomorrow.

$3.50 will not occur. But then again, the bigger question is one of whether Ziggy, Ted, or Mansfield will go.

Politically, 1 of the 3 will fall from Grace.

Ziggy is working hard to shore up his position, and still commands the support of Alston.

Mansfield still commands the support of Alston (but more importantly, of Howard).

Technically, Pretty commands the support of Ziggy, whilst Alston has the support "of convenience" of Howard (but, more so, of Costello, but not of Abbott).

Politically, Pretty is sitting the weakest of the 3 at Telstra, whilst Alston is sitting weak in Canberra. To, therefore, save Ziggy, Ted will go. But if this does not eventuate, and if Ziggy stays, hen Mansfield goes.

If, however, none of the 3 go, then the Telstra price will move closer to your mooted mark, but not otherwise.

Ted was in Cannes last week. I do not think, therefore, that he has yet returned to Australia.

Dick Simpson was in Australia last week for meetings ahead of taking control of proceedings in Hong Kong.

And today, the industry was all assembled together in Melbourne for signing of new working arrangements with Telstra.
