I would expect the Crown will lodge a cross appeal arguing the sentence is inadequate.
Could be a 2 edged sword for Craig. An appeal court could increase his sentence; it is improbable they will reduce it to a non-custodial one. So, how does Craig go trying to find a job? He'd be telling the new boss he has to have at least 3 months off in the new year to serve time!

Thomson, like Williamson, was in a position of trust. It is common sentencing practice that is those circumstances, penalties are more severe, not less, to act as a deterrent to others. I expect the A-G will appeal and will have the sentence increased.
