As GTE have withdrawn from the joint venture, what power do they have in any negotiation? Answer, none.
They don't have the cash to offer anything. TKS has all the power here as they hold Hadji by themselves and are now free to negotiate with whom ever they please, or go it alone.
The talk from the company (GTE) about negotiations is a joke after they withdrew. You could only negotiate changes to conditions of the JV while still in it. I'm beginning to think that the results released in January.... .. "may not be entirely accurate", to quote from a movie.
It is probably what the company has discovered. Otherwise, why would it not be.... "a high-grade and high-margin copper operation", as stated in Jan? Plus, what about all the great trenching results from last year, none of these viable either?
