All I'll add to RC's post is that it is a very long and hard road. After two years you'll think you know it all, at ten years you'll realise you were a fool at two years. You will get it wrong, it isn't easy and there is a hell of a lot to learn.
All over Hotcopper you'll see charts with pretty lines and a professional look. But there are only a few here that really understand how data all fits together. You'll never be good until you have that understanding and that won't come quickly.
My advice is don't do it, stick to FA and only very basic TA unless you're prepared to put in the hours.
