DFS Study

The DFS study was expected to be completed in early November, but with the regulatory approvals for the
Environmental Impact Study, still awaiting from the Queensland State Government, the Company cannot
complete the DFS until the exact parameters of the mine plan that have been put forward in the EIS, have
been approved. The study is a Definitive Financial Study not a Preliminary Financial Study which require
forward looking statements based on actual costs. The additional information required for final approval of
the EIS by the state government, if any, need to be completed before the DFS can be completed. The
Company expected the regulatory approvals for the EIS by early 2011. The timeframe for the approval of
the EIS and the granting of the Mining Lease is now determined by the Qld State Government.
