The general consensus is, if you believe the stock may cease trading ,then you need to be in and out the same day.
11am to 3pm is the way to go.
Stocks that will cease to trade (trading halt due to liquidation etc, and not a normal type announcement) announce such information around 9:00am-10:00am generally speaking, although I have seen it announced after market.
Rarely if ever is it during a trading day.
FGE for example announced at 9.27am,9.57am,9.23am,9.29am,9.47am and 6:31pm
Be in after 11 and out by 3 and your chances of being caught up in the mess is much lower and less risk imo.
Then again, don't trade it at all is possibly a smarter option, if not risk adverse.
