I undertook some of the early exploration work on Simberi and Tatau.
More recently I reviewed mining companies for possible M & A for a mid-sized gold miner. I looked at Allied (the then owner of Simberi and Gold Ridge) a number of times. Each time I rejected it as I did not like the metallurgy and their high costs. The near-surface oxide ore was suppose to be the cream of the deposit.
