I just hope the law makers and the government take not of this ruling and its potential ramification in the future.

While I believe our courts would not accept this excuse as a defence for raping a woman, it may plant the seed in anyone who contemplates raping a woman. Therefore, this lack of a deterrent has the potential to increase the number of rapes.

I know it may seem extreme, but when a man decides to rape a woman, maybe knowing this defence could be the catalyst in his decision to go through with it.

I really feel that this judge is derelict in his duty to protect the public and I fail to see how this ruling has any benefit to our community.
