I thought the law was about protecting the community. This refugee who is a registered sex offender clearly can't help himself and is likely to offend again considering he was previously charged.

Surely "cultural differences" shouldn't be allowed as a defence considering his previous charges. Even though I am aware of not allowing previous cases to be heard, surely the courts should be allowed to enter into court that previous sentencing proves that he is very much aware of our culture. Surely there should be allowances especially when kids are involved.

PS. Well done to our previous government who handed this bloke a permanent protection visa and under our current government he would have only had a temporary protection visa. How can labor look at our public with a straight face and have the gall to criticise our current government.
