I believe most banks operate a brokerage system/account. I'm with Suncorp, and they offer a no-cost Wealth Management account to operate your trading through, and they take ~$21 per trade. Probably not the most up to date platform, and I wouldn't use it if share trading is your sole income source, but it's good for people like me who trade perhaps once every 4-6 months or so
