re: telstra (keeping the faith) On the basis of Telstra's current performance, the debacle with Reach (etc), few (if any) Telstra managers should be qualifying for their Performance Rights for subsequent conversion into Telstra shares.
If, however, they do qualify for the Rights, then obviously Telstra management must have known something last year when they opted for the scrapping of the Share Option Scheme (ie: with Performance Rights, you can still qualify for shares even if the share price has fallen in the interim).
Interesting challenge - maintaining the faith; keeping the credibility.
