Of course the journalists and media that hyped up the Fukushima event and then dominated almost every form of media. In the process creating unnecessary hysteria and perception of impending world doom.

It is mind boggling the knee jerk reactions and critical decisions that occurred world wide based on this hype and perception.

Shut down the nuclear power industry, however the devastation was caused by the Tsunami, not the power plant. Did people worldwide move away from the coast or stop having coastal holidays? Clearly no they didn't and still don't despite other Tsunamis since.

Will now display their fine journalistic skills and present the actual scientific facts from the findings of Fukushima, instead of the hyped up rubbish they published constantly for over a year????

I won't hold my breath...This will be lucky to make page 30 of the papers and even then stuck in amongst a pile of ads so as not to be seen or highlighted. It definitely won't make the evening tele news or having the TV talking heads going on about it.

This is of course excellent news for the people in the location and the industry as a whole. However, I now don't believe it will change the perception created over Fukushima. The damage has been done...

Throw enough mud (true or not) and it will stick comes to mind once again.

Note as I stated post Fukushima, PEN will advance regardless as they have, albeit delayed due to other aspects. They will still advance, however the journey to first production is far from over I can see.
