obviously you never lived in a country with no welfare. Do you want your family living in a place where every single window and door are protected by iron bars like a jail even in 6th or 7th floor? our security is getting worse, but far from as bad. Welfare is not a problem. Abusing welfare system is. I know some people getting social security payment use the money to buy drugs instead of food and they still go out to steal. It is sad, but will cancelling their payments stop their stealing? There is no simple solution. By the way, increasing police force costs our tax money too. The cost of one policeman can probably feed 4 or 5 unemployed, even though I do appreciate the hard work of our police force.
