If you read the rest of the article that you posted, maybe you will answer your own question.
It does go on to say that people cannot survive on that wage, and that the US election system is corrupt !
If you don't want to pay a fare wage to Australian workers, as per Australian IR laws, then maybe you should just stay overseas and exploit foreign workers?
Thank God we still have some union power left, and some IR laws to protect workers in this country !
