what kind of world is ahead for us

I am deeply worried about the world that my grandchildren are going to be living in. I have one grandson that is a bit of a worrier, in school a few kids can spot a kid like him at a hundred metres. They are taught to respond to tormenting with "please don't do that - I don't like that. Well my son say's his boy should be able to stand up to bullies, he has been going to self defence and the kids now have a bit more respect for him, he doesn't fight (only 7)but needs to know how to handle himself. It is a sad fact that there will be a section of society that will not negotiate, what he is being taught to say just won't cut it as an adult, I hate fighting and king hits etc but I can see a time when self protection will come into it unless law enforcement comes down a lot harder on thugs.
