Honiara is not directly on the flow path of Gold Ridge mine dams... so no real threat there...
The main concern would be some cyanide leaching into the below water supply dam at Niumbake... which supplies water for nearly the whole Island... But then again, the reservoir volume is quite large, and would mostly dilute and neutralise the nasty stuff...
