FAS shares the name of the old SITMAR cruise ship that used to ply its way round the Pacific until it was scrapped in the 1990's. But in shipping terms FAS is looking much more like the Titanic steaming full speed towards the icebergs than a leisurely cruise around the Pacific in an old Italian rust-bucket.
Whatever the ship, SOS is recognised as the universal distress call, sometimes thought to mean Save our Ship or Save our Souls. Well with the new Chairman maybe FAS has both covered.
New posting on the FAS website reveals that the new Chairman is founder of Sherwood Cliffs and Sherwood Glen, and Google search reveals that these are drug and alcohol rehabilitation retreats in the central coast hinterland. He is also Pastor at the Baptist Church, Coffs Harbour.
Absolutely no mention is made of either the new Non-Exec Chairman or Non Exec director having any experience in public company directorships. But clearly John-Paul has much experience in saving souls and certainly has his work cut out in Saving our Ship. Maybe he is a miracle worker?
