Adopting pagan symbols of renewal is not bad, it does not indicate acceptance of pagan doctrine.

From my perspective I wonder why so many Christians think that God can't make use of pagan symbols for good. The use of the egg as a symbol for new life, a new beginning, resurrection etc would be very difficult to beat.
I don't know why people feel the need to put "God in a box" by limiting what he can and cannot use.
