From my perspective I wonder why so many Christians think that God can't make use of pagan symbols for good. The use of the egg as a symbol for new life, a new beginning, resurrection etc would be very difficult to beat.
I don't know why people feel the need to put "God in a box" by limiting what he can and cannot use
i say,
it's simple,
it's called the Ten Commandments,
God said "Thou shalt not make unto thee any Graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters below,
thou shalt not bow down thyselves to them or serve them."
and as Christians, we should obey our heavenly Father, because he obviously had a reason for it, whether we know what it is or not.
