paulharris - I'm not sure about your maths, you seemed to go the long way round.

    My version is:
    2,000 PJ = 2,000,000,000 GJ

Multiply by 30% for recoverable, multiply by 30% again for CTP's share gives 180,000,000

    Multiply by gas price...

    Scenario a: today's Brisbane gas sales price @ $2.90 = $522M
    Scenario b: East coast in a couple of years @ $8 = $1.44B

Note: I know CTP won't get those prices at the wellhead, and the $8 might be a bit optimistic (or not?). And there's an assumption that 2,000 PJ really means 2,000 PJ. It seems very odd to state the OGIP in terms of energy at this stage.

A best case scenario certainly could move the share price.

Here's hoping it's good news soon.
