That can happen easily jj, especially when there is only 1 order in play at a time.

Say someone has 10K shares on order, and someone sells into it 9997. There are 3 shares left on buy side then someone buys another 10K shares, the 3 shows up as a part trade. 9997 on buy side again. Someone sells another 10K, 3 shows up again as part trade and so on.

In this case it looks like there were 3 shares left overnight from an unfinished order. You can see that 3 has been carried in quite a number of trades from thereon. Nothing sinister.
