that chart shows the floor area of a house now is basically the same as in 1999, yet prices have tripled while inflation is only up 50% ? Same with existing house's built in the 70's having tripled since 1999.. so how does your graph support that as the cause of cost going up?
land is cheap, costs nothing to produce a block, so why is it up like 4x since 1999 ? has the cost of making a road and running services increase 50x ?
