See RNAi has always been a point of contention with who's in who's out but big pharma just can't leave the space alone. Whenever one leaves it always sends shockwaves through the space but look back to the last time it got shell shocked when Roche pulled up the pegs in 2010 with broad restructure dropping all there RNAi projects which in turn worked well for Arrowhead picking up the science and labs at sale prices and taking on board the staff then achieving the EE and getting a first drug in clinic. The irony of it all and it certainly lifted eyebrows last year Roche stepped back in the RNA space with ISIS making the $300M RNA deal and then in January this year they stepped right back in with its pRED unit inking a mRNA deal with Santaris who also have deals with GSK, Pfizer, BMS, Shire.
It's always hard to judge that space with it changing so frequently.
