I believe we have apologised as a nation many times over and we do recognise the attrocities of hundreds of years and decades ago...
...now how many times would you have us do so? Every night before bed?
Time to grow up. We continue as a nation to provide billions of dollars in grants and to provide all sorts of other benefits to those of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island heritage. We support those who claim heritage (and therefore benefit) even though it might be highly questionable. Our Leader has apologised.
When is an apology not an apology?
Maybe when it is simply not accepted (and it is the Apologists/The POTs [Politically Over Tolerants] who are primarily responsible for this and the associated cost in both financial and social terms) - therein lies the problem...Activism and Apologism is simply a self-fulfilling philosophical industry - and I'd question the genuine regard by many of these comrades for those they purport to favour.
Time to grow up and move forward as one (a nation of Australians respecting Australia), rather than pointing backward in division.
