    re: potentially big news/lani Dank,

LANI seems to take only a couple of weeks longer to make than Relenza/Zanamivir. We may be able to devote a sidestream of the production for IV purposes for the benefit of those too young, too sick or otherwise unable to avail themselves of the inhalation route. Application via Diskhaler in some of those references listed a few days ago showed almost everyone who tried it had little or no problem (very high 90s%). For the really ill there is always the nebuliser route but not in many countries. For the really sick in those areas an IV route may be needed to mass treat outbreaks by WHO rapid response teams.

Peramivir is 10-50 times less effective/mg than LANI and look at the company fly even though it is well behind LANI development. Only in Australia can you expect this kind of response. No wonder so many biotechs go offshore. It's like trying to sell pork in Israel around here.

We have to have LANI fast tracked behind the current flood of Relenza production. If my analyses are in the ball park then BTA is currently owed $45-50 M (payable May 2006) and by May 2007 will be owed an amount currently being accumulated at the rate of $10 M per week from the GSK production plants alone just fired up. Extra due from third party sublicenses.
