yes, as you say: "believe". to "believe" in something does not mean that something actually exists
There is no question that God exists depending on what you mean by the term God. To me nature and creation is God, do they exist? I dont believe in a man in robes living in the clouds. People seem to assume he or it must be something out of a Sunday school brochure.

Why do we need evidence God exists? read above. Further on you talk about works and its importance, morality is works.
